Zak Zaidman
Co founder / Entrepreneur
Grew up in Mexico City. BA in Psychology from UC, San Diego in 1990 with honors, minors in Philosophy and Anthropology. Psychology PhD Candidate as a National Science Foundation fellow at UC Berkeley 1990-1993. Survived cancer. Left to start Gravity Inc. a virtual reality, multimedia software company with clients including IBM, Disney, and Intel. Sold in 1999 to Frog Design which later sold to Flextronics. Became community organizer and meditation teacher and led international interfaith and peace delegations to India and Israel. Raised funds for local and international non-profit organizations. Received basic Permaculture certification in Costa Rica. Helped organize and lead Sustainable Solutions Caravan driving vegetable oil powered bus from San Francisco through Mexico and Central America, promoting sustainable solutions and triple-bottom-line business practices to tens of millions. Co-founded Kopali Organics. Co-founded Kopali Communities to develop ultraecological real estate planned communities. Passionate singer, songwriter, and triple-bottom-line business advocate.
